4 Places you can find Jive at Enterprise 2.0 this week
1. Powering the Enterprise 2.0 Website
Techweb is a new customer for Jive. They chose us to power the community aspect of the conference and launched just days before the conference. This includes the front and real-time “back channel” of all engagements before, during and after the event. You can read Steve Wylies blog about it here or go check out the conference/product yourself. If you poke around, you might even find comments and attitudes by a big competitor. The proof is in the pudding.
2. Panel: Social Computing Platforms: Three Alternatives for the Enterprise
This is supposed to be a panel discussion about the three choices that Enterprises have for social computing platforms. The choices: (1) one of many solutions from a massive software vendor like IBM, (2) a pure-play like Jive or (3) build their own. If you don’t attend, the answer will be “yes” to all three no matter what we panelists say.
- Wednesday- 3:30-4:30pm
- Moderator: Jevon MacDonald, Co-Founder, Firestoker
- Speakers: Sam Lawrence (Me); John Samuels (VP, Sabre); Lawrence Liu (Microsoft product manager); Brian Magierski (CDO, BSG Alliance)
3. Panel: Social Software Shootout
I’m still not exactly sure what this is but it was cool that Small World Labs was gung-ho about having me participate. Honestly, I’m not sure who this “shoot out” is between, each other or the big drag queens that Jevon mentioned in his blog but either way it should be fun.
- Wednesday- 6:30-8:00
- Moderator: Mathhew Lees, Patricia Seybold Group
- Speakers: Sam Lawrence (Me), Michael Wilson (CEO, Small World Labs); Rob Howard (CEO, Telligent); Aaron Strout (VP New Media, Mzinga)
4. Our booth
Matt Tucker (co-founder, CTO), Gia Lyons (fresh from IBM), Megan Ross Farrell and some of the rest of us will be boothing it here and there. We’ll have Enterprise Octopus and Norman Naysayer stickers as pictured on my laptop above. If you’re nice, we’ll give you one. Stupid human tricks welcome.
