Sneak @ one super-tiny Clearspace 2.5 feature

New search preview

One of the bajillion new things that I love about the soon-to-be released Clearspace 2.5 is our new search preview. It’s a tiny improvement among the bigger stuff but I find it super useful. Here’s a 30 second video of me searching inside Jive. Note how autocomplete immediately starts looking for people and then separates results into content, people, and places that could be relevant. All this, of course, before you actually complete your search. Can’t wait to show off the whole product. (Sorry for the poopy video quality, I’m not smart enough to know how to fix it. Maybe someone at Jive will have pity on me today and help. Hint. Hint.).

Wow that is a great feature. Guess you could you are going to have a unified autocomplete.

Thanks for sharing the preview.

I agree, autocomplete on search is a really handy feature. We’ve had it in Helpstream for a little while now. One thing that’s really easy to do with it is to explore the search space. Just keep changing your search a bit and checking the autocomplete without committing. When it looks close to what you want, hit the “search” to see the final results.

Cheers!
